What Should You Prioritize for Your Wedding?

Planning a wedding is no easy feat, and with so many different aspects to consider, it can be overwhelming to figure out what should take priority. But don't worry, my friends, because I'm here to give you some guidance on what you should prioritize for your big day.

First things first, if you're working with a tight budget, you're going to need to prioritize. I know, it's not the most fun thing to do, but trust me, it's necessary. Make a list of everything that's important to you and your partner, and then make a list of things that aren't as important. This will help you get a better sense of where you should allocate your funds.

Now, onto the good stuff! Here are three things that I recommend prioritizing for your wedding:

#1 Your Venue

Let's start with the big one: your venue. Your venue is arguably the most important aspect of your wedding, and for good reason. It sets the tone for the entire day and can make or break the overall vibe. That's why I recommend prioritizing most of your budget toward your venue. Trust me, it's worth it.

Having a great venue means you have a beautiful backdrop for all of your photos and videos. It means your guests will feel comfortable and at ease throughout the day. It means you can create a specific atmosphere that reflects your personality and style. Plus, having a great venue can save you money in other areas, like decor. So, if you're going to splurge on one thing, make it your venue.

#2 Your Wedding Attire

Now, let's talk about you and your partner's attire. This might seem like a no-brainer, but it's important to emphasize just how crucial it is to feel good and look good on your wedding day. Whether you're wearing a suit, a dress, a jumpsuit, or whatever, you want to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.

Your wedding day is all about celebrating the love between you and your partner, and feeling good about yourself is a huge part of that. Plus, let's be real, you're going to be taking a ton of photos, so you want to make sure you're dressed to impress. So, when it comes to your attire, don't skimp. Invest in something that makes you feel amazing, and your partner will thank you for it.

#3 A Wedding Planner or Coordinator

Last but certainly not least, I highly recommend investing in a wedding planner or coordinator. I know, I know, you're probably thinking, "Michelle, that's an extra expense that I don't need!" Hear me out, though. A wedding planner or coordinator can be a game-changer when it comes to making your wedding day run smoothly.

Not only can they help you stick to your budget and get the most bang for your buck, but they can also take a lot of the stress off of you and your partner. They can handle all of the nitty-gritty details, leaving you free to enjoy your special day. Plus, they can offer guidance and advice throughout the planning process, which can be a huge help if you're feeling overwhelmed.

You Do You, Boo

I want to remind you that this is your and your partner's special day. So, prioritize what you guys like! If you're not big on flowers, don't spend a ton of money on them. If you're foodies, splurge on an amazing caterer. At the end of the day, what matters most is that you're surrounded by the people you love and that you're celebrating your love for each other.
